It was within one of the four covered-porch columns that a time capsule was discovered. A crew member working at the property was replacing the base of one of the tall white columns on the front porch when he felt something inside.
What they discovered was a glass jar with a clamp-lid hanging by a string from the top of the column! Inside were Snellgrove family papers, newspaper clippings about the family’s social prominence, a family photo, and letters, including one tracing some of the Snellgrove family histories.
