Before founding Special Finds, Brenda worked on Wall Street in New York City, where she learned the value of precision and results. Returning to her Southern roots, she launched her own real estate company dedicated to marketing unique homes. For over 25 years, she has developed a niche expertise in uncovering the hidden character of properties and translating it into words and images that attract buyers internationally.
Her innovative property narratives have been featured in media outlets across the country. Sellers and agents alike turn to her when a home needs more than photos and square footage—it needs a voice.

She lives with her husband, Jim, on the North Carolina coast, where she continues to help clients market their most unusual homes—while also writing overlooking a wide river, visited daily by wild creatures.

Brenda is a real estate marketing expert, award-winning author, inventor, and true entrepreneur. She has owned and operated 8 Special Finds real estate offices in NC and PA, managing more than one hundred brokers. She has been licensed in NY, PA, MD, and NC.
Prior to her real estate career, she was Director of Marketing for the New York Stock Exchange, she owned and operated two companies, including a woodburning stove franchise on Long Island in New York. In 1991, she obtained her NY broker’s license and achieved top-performing agent status in two national franchise agencies.
In 1995, she created and branded Special Finds, Properties of Unique Character for those Choosing Something Out of the Ordinary, an award-winning, niche, real estate business. She has turned her marketing expertise into a valuable service for property owners, like herself, who face challenges when selling unique and unusual properties.
