Coyote Canyon is a place like no other, where time slows and the sky steals the show. The 12×20 log cabin is a cozy one-room hideaway. A pot-bellied wood stove keeps the cabin warm. The current owners have used portable solar panels, kerosene, and propane to meet off-grid needs.

Catch the last light of day from a 6×20 covered porch. A full-size tipi and antique covered wagon add rustic charm and invite nights beneath the stars.

 An outhouse-style porta-potty is already on site, and a septic holding tank could be added to meet county specs.

Sunsets set the quarry walls ablaze in color. Mel Tillis once stayed here, back when Diamond Bill Smith called this canyon home.

Seasonal waterfalls and a pond create an amazing mini ecosystem that surrounds the canyon. The canyon slopes to the far end, where water flows into a seasonal pond. Since the cabin is located at the higher end, the water flows away and does not flood.

A wide variety of rocks and fossils is abundant. Two photos show fossil septarian rock formations & this rock quarry floor is likely from the Ordovician period.

There’s a Fred Flintstone-style rock picnic table, chairs, and several level tent camping spots. Horses/cattle are permitted.

Currently off-grid, but you can contact the local electric company about how to tie in to nearby electric power.

Table Rock Ridge Subdivision is gated, with homes priced between $400,000 and $750,000. There’s an additional gate at the entrance of this property. No HOA, reasonable restrictions, and covenants can be provided to interested parties. A commercial venture is not permitted here (such as a campground), but a home-based business is acceptable.

The town of Shell Knob offers everything you need—local restaurants, banks, fitness centers, a grocery store, lumber yard, post office, laundromat, antique mall, and welcoming churches.
