Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, commanding a pretty downtown corner in the picturesque town of Fincastle, this beautiful historic church offers a truly unique living situation.
Originally constructed in 1895, her sturdy red brick steeple still holds the antique church bell. Inside, the sanctuary has been maintained. Three sides of stained glass windows bathe the 170 seat chapel in colorful light reflecting up to the curved wooden ceiling.
The rear section of the church has been converted to a stunning residence with the entire top floor being devoted to an elegant master suite containing a spectacular master bath with spa tub, huge walk-in closets, and living areas.
Located near the well-known Kyle House, it’s location presents an excellent opportunity for a variety of different uses.

Origins of the Church
This lovely chapel is the former Fincastle Baptist Church. The origin of the Baptists in Fincastle dates back to 1773 when the first congregation was established. Fincastle Baptist Church itself was first organized in 1831, and in 1895, the congregants built this Victorian-Romanesque structure. It would remain their house of worship for more than one hundred years.
